Flash Web Design

Case Study / 2002
Wingspan Birds of Prey New Zealand

Although now 8 years old, this site was one of the first websites AMG Web designed - a time of small screens and low resolutions, 800 x 600 pixels!

Designed in Flash animation, in 2002 it was ahead of its time - visually rich with sound effects, video, educational interactive games and ecommerce gift shop for gifts, donations and online bookings.

Being a Charitable Trust, AMG had to keep a tight control on the budget. Because Wingspan was in its early stage of development, with temporary aviaries and displays, we decided to use macro photography of falcon wings as the main visual backdrop of the web design. With only three or four feathers at our disposal, it became quite a challenge to find new ways of photographing feathers. Contact AMG WEB DESIGN

Wingspan #1

After online research, analysis and search engine optimization AMG Web Design implemented the chosen keywords to help Wingspan rank at the top of Google. No easy task for a fully flash web design, however after a few months "wingspan" overtook the Paul McCartney website to the top #1 position on Google.

Ecommerce Web Hosting

AMG Web Design provided free hosting setup and handled the ecommerce shop integration using World Pay as the credit card payment gateway. AMG are also responsible for ongoing website content management and updates.

"Best website ever...
